I'm selling a vintage RCA 6SN7GT Clear Glass, Black Plates vacuum tube. This tube is in very good condition. The tube number has been written on it by hand due to the original being worn off. This tube has a very good match between the 2 sides and has low microphonics. TUBE TEST RESULTS 91-7.5 o 88-8.1 o IMPORTANT INFORMATION TUBE TEST PROCEDURE All tubes are fully tested for gas, emissions and shorts on a recently restored Hickok US Navy OZ-1 and then tested on a calibrated uTracer at actual tube manufacturers specification sheet operating values. My test results may not match yours because all testers are different. My tests are performed at actual operating voltages and currents up to 400 volts and 200mA. Most commercial tube testers test at voltages and currents well below those values. Most preamp tubes are tested for microphonics. These are connected to an amplifier circuit and tested by tapping on the tube and listening for any noise. Power amp tubes are not usually tested for microphonics. All rectifier tubes are tested for shorts and emissions only. All tubes have actual measured test results included in the box TUBE TEST RESULTS EXPLAINED All tubes and data sheets are labeled with actual test results. All rectifier tubes are labeled in % of emission. 100% emission is determined by the manufacturers datasheet values limited by the maximum ratings of my tester (400 volts, 200mA). All triodes are labeled with %Gm - Ia. 100% Gm is determined by by the manufacturers datasheet values limited by the maximum ratings of my tester (400 volts, 200mA). All dual triodes are labeled with (1) %Gm - Ia, (2) %Gm - Ia. All pentodes are labeled with %Gm - Ia. 100% Gm is determined by by the manufacturers datasheet values limited by the maximum ratings of my tester (400 volts, 200mA). These tubes may also have been tested for microphonics. If they have a + on them, they are quiet. If they have a 0 on them, they are slightly microphonic and can be used for most applications. If they have a - on them, they are somewhat noisy and should not be used for critical applications. Unless otherwise stated in the listing, all tubes I sell test within the specifications of a NEW tube. A new tube should test 100% +/- 20% Gm. So a tube is considered NEW if it measures between 80% and 120% Gm. This is based on the Design Center Rating System according to RMA standard M8-210. I do not sell any tube that tests less than 75% Gm unless it is a rare and/or desirable tube and it will be stated in the listing that the tube is USED. I absolutely will not sell any tube that measures below 70% Gm. A tube's useful end of life is typically at 50%. I try to be as honest as I can with tube specs. My regular day job is as a lab technician for a huge global corporation testing industrial electronics. I have quite a bit of experience with proper testing techniques, calibration and data collection. I also have over 40 years of experience as an electronic repair technician. I'm not just some guy who has some old tubes and bought a tube tester hoping I could retire by selling tubes.
